Alex is interested in human health, performance, and the prevention of chronic disease, with a particular focus on muscle, fat, metabolism, and functional decline.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science with a certificate in Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He currently is involved in research focusing on CT biomarkers in various disease states, most notably, some types of cancer. He is especially interested in bridging research with practical strategies to improve quality of life and physical function.
Outside of the lab, Alex enjoys various forms of exercise, cooking, and indoor gardening.
