I am interested in studying the intersection of skeletal muscle quality and metabolism in disease and aging. To better understand this process, my doctoral training has included been highly translational ranging from bench to clinical research in animal and human models. This interest is what is driving me to also obtain my Registered Dietitian credential.

I was predoctoral trainee on the Metabolism and Nutrition Training Program (MANTP) T32 Training Grant. I will be starting my dietetic internship through UW Health in August of 2023 as a part of this training program in pursuit of my Registered Dietitian credential.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy spending time with my family either taking our dog hiking, playing frisbee, or snuggling up on the couch with a good movie or game.
